{"id":1145,"date":"2025-10-04T15:40:01","date_gmt":"2025-10-04T13:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreshplanner.com\/?p=1145"},"modified":"2025-11-28T12:09:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-28T11:09:07","slug":"learnings-about-planning-at-fruit-attraction-madrid-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreshplanner.com\/en\/learnings-about-planning-at-fruit-attraction-madrid-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Learnings About Planning at Fruit Attraction Madrid 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Eight months of work and validation at Fruit Attraction<\/h2>\n<p id=\"ember50\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">After eight months of conceptual work in our \u201ccave,\u201d <a class=\"pwHwmXBqmofSClxsctVkNQQzvNIASaSVkFYLg \" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/fruit-attraction\/\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">Fruit Attraction <\/a>became our opportunity to see the market\u2019s reaction to our value proposition for packaging planning.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember51\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">And we have gained some incredible insights.<\/p>\n<h2>Other companies also plan their packaging<\/h2>\n<p id=\"ember52\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>The first<\/strong> is that, in addition to the citrus plants we have worked with, several companies are already planning their packaging in detail \u2014 and with very different products: lettuce, stone fruit, tomatoes, vegetables, watermelon, melon\u2026 They told us that after realizing that off-the-shelf solutions didn\u2019t work for them, they had spent years developing their own systems. <\/p>\n<p id=\"ember53\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">For us, this has been a joy for many reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All major investors insist that if there is no competition, there is no market. Finding other companies that have persevered until achieving effective planning is a <strong>validation that we are on the right path<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<li>The executives from those companies were extremely generous with us, <strong>taking valuable time to share their experience<\/strong>, how they approached their projects, why they rejected commercial solutions, and what their keys to success were.<\/li>\n<li>The director of <a class=\"pwHwmXBqmofSClxsctVkNQQzvNIASaSVkFYLg \" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/murgiverde\/\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">Murgiverde<\/a> even connected to the plant with his laptop to show us the control panel and the activity of the lines of one of the packaging plants. She radiated<strong> joy and pride when she told us what she had achieved.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Atanasio, from <a class=\"pwHwmXBqmofSClxsctVkNQQzvNIASaSVkFYLg \" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/tany-nature-s-a-\/\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">Tany Nature S.A<\/a>., explained how he initiated his project and the time he dedicated once he realized that existing solutions wouldn\u2019t solve his problem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"ember55\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Many thanks to Pedro Hern\u00e1ndez de Arce from <a class=\"pwHwmXBqmofSClxsctVkNQQzvNIASaSVkFYLg \" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/gs-grupo\/\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">Grupo G\u2019s Espa\u00f1a,<\/a> for explaining how you plan field harvesting; to <a id=\"ember57\" class=\"ember-view\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/pedro-riesco-alonso-77aa1b80\/\"><\/a><a id=\"ember56\" class=\"ember-view\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/pedro-hernandez-de-arce-22053362\/\">Pedro Riesco Alonso<\/a> from <a class=\"pwHwmXBqmofSClxsctVkNQQzvNIASaSVkFYLg \" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/gruopo-somos\/\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">SOMOS HIJOLUSA, S.L.<\/a>, for sharing that you\u2019ve been planning production for two years; and to <a id=\"ember58\" class=\"ember-view\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jos%C3%A9-campillos-468ba445\/\">Jos\u00e9 Campillos<\/a> from <a class=\"pwHwmXBqmofSClxsctVkNQQzvNIASaSVkFYLg \" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/cmr-group-fruit\/\" data-test-app-aware-link=\"\">CMR GROUP<\/a>, for telling us that you introduced this innovation in 2025.<\/p>\n<h2>The sector\u2019s interest in starting detailed planning<\/h2>\n<p id=\"ember59\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">The second major insight is that our message has caught the attention of many executives who have asked us to help them evaluate whether they are ready to begin their journey toward detailed planning.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember60\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">We visited numerous stands asking for the operations or production director. In many companies, that position didn\u2019t exist or wasn\u2019t present at the time, but when we mentioned \u201cpackaging planning,\u201d we gained access to CEOs, managing directors, and commercial directors who showed great interest in our proposal. <\/p>\n<h2>The stages of innovation adoption<\/h2>\n<p id=\"ember61\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">Of course, we also heard from many who told us it wasn\u2019t relevant to them \u2014 and that\u2019s fine. In every innovation <strong>adoption process<\/strong>, there are five groups of companies:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Innovators<\/strong>, who develop the first solutions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Early adopters<\/strong>, who implement the solution as soon as they discover it exists because they were already looking for that path \u2014 these will be our next clients. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Early majority<\/strong>, the next wave of companies up to 50% of the market.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Late majority<\/strong>, from 50% onward.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Laggards<\/strong>, the last 16% of the market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>New challenges and future developments in planning<\/h2>\n<p id=\"ember63\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\"><strong>The third<\/strong> takeaway came from conversations with executives who shared other priorities related to planning, such as <strong>improving coordination<\/strong> between the commercial plan, packaging warehouse capacity, field harvesting plan, and raw material purchasing from third parties.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ember64\" class=\"ember-view reader-text-block__paragraph\">It\u2019s a challenge we\u2019re familiar with and one that\u2019s part of our roadmap for future development \u2014 once we complete some of the more advanced improvements in packaging planning.
